Moving on is a big thing. Not just for a girl, but also for a guy.
Especially if you’re already in another relationship.
If you’re dating after a breakup and you find yourself unable to move on, it doesn’t only hurt you, but it also hurts your date.
Girls, mostly feeling insecure. Questioning themselves. Questioning the
difference between them and their man’s ex. “Will he break up to get
back to her? Does he love me as much as he loved her? What was so
special about her so that he’s still looking at her pictures?
Why can’t I be satisfying and enough?”
Men, who often try to deny it, also get stuck in this feeling of insecurity.
Yes, men DO feel insecure. And it goes hard on them watching you look
at your ex’s photos and messages. It goes hard on them when you walk up
to him and still hug him. “He’s just a friend” you say. But it hurts
him.
Moving on from a deep relationship doesn’t just happen. It
needs time and time and yes it needs time. No one can make you move on.
People can just be there but they can’t force you. You have to decide
it for yourself.
Again, not just for you, but for the people who see you suffering, and the people who are suffering with you.
If you’re dating and you hadn’t moved on, try to replace the ex’s
memories with new ones with your current and hopefully future partner.
Keep on the good, learn from mistakes, and show that you have matured.
Talk about it. Tell them you’re suffering from this insecurity and that
you do not want to hurt them. If you don’t talk about it, negative
things will start jumping in your lover’s head; jealousy, fear, sadness,
and eventually causing fights built on assumptions.
Hold your partner’s hand tight and explain. If they really love you, they will understand and help you with it.
Don’t take it as an excuse. But take it as a lesson well learn.
Build a new healthy relationship.
You deserve to be happy. And you can make your partner happy.
